February 2007 - I was visiting my friend Dave
in Silver City, New Mexico and we spent some time at Rejuvenation, a cozy cafe with free wi-fi in the downtown area. |
 |
This cafe definitely has a lot of character. |
 |
I got a photo of myself with the friendly barista
who made my drink. She was really friendly! |
 |
And look at this! There is even a table that
is solely reserved for those working on a jigsaw puzzle. How cool is that?! :) |
 |
I really should have come up with a better photo of my friend, Dave. The wi-fi at Rejuvenation was pretty good, but every once in awhile it would go out for a short while. In the adjacent photo, I caught Dave having a "hissy fit" during one of those brief outages! :p)
You can see a more dignified photo of Dave from our visit to the Continental Divide:

One last humorous note. For the very top photo,
I walked outside and across the street to take it. As I was crossing the street, I spotted
a very stereotypical beat-up New Mexico vehicle. New Mexico is generally known
as a somewhat poor state and it's common to see really old and beat-up cars
and trucks. (New Mexico doesn't even have car inspection, which I think is awesome!)
Anyway, I discretely took this photo of an old car waiting at the light.
Note much of the front end and left headlight are completely gone! :p)
