February 2006 - I was in
Leadville, Colorado
today I visited the Provin Ground Bakery & Cafe on the main avenue.
Leadville is noteworthy for being over 10,000 feet above sea level, nearly two miles above sea level. |

Apparentely the building has some historic significance.
Notice the old brick walls too. It's a really cozy kind of place, and check out that old bike hanging above. :) |

They have a very good variety of bakery choices.
I personally love the egg & bacon biscuits, and their loaves of sourdough bread are reasonably priced.

There's a nice sitting area that gets a lot of sunlight too. |

And there is a really comfy Archie Bunker seat and leg rest.
There I am reading the Denver Post ... and check out the funky ranch that was in the newspaper. ;)
